Where should i go in Lyon, France?

Mel asked:

What is there to see and do?
Any good museums (that would be suitable for somebody who’s French is awful)
Best shopping area? I like vintage, little gift shops, clothes boutiques…
Can you recommend anywhere good to eat that has some choice for a vegetarian?
